 Working holiday visa (417): Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia,
Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Republic of Ireland, Italy, Japan,
Republic of Korea, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Taiwan, The United
Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

 Be aged between 18 – 30 years old;
 Have $5,000 in your bank account;
 In the case of the 462 visa, you must meet some additional requirements to:
 have a letter of support from your country;
 have functional English skills; and
 have a certain level of tertiary education.

How to Apply for a Working Holiday Visa in Australia

The process to apply for a working holiday visa in Australia is pretty straightforward, as long as
you have all the required documentation.

 Start by gathering all of the documents required for your application;
 Sign up for an account on the Australian Home Affairs website;
 Submit your application;
 Wait! You should receive your acceptance within 3 weeks.

Second Year Visa
The standard working holiday visa allows you to live and work in Australia for one year.
However, if you do 88 days of work in certain industries, you can extend your visa. Here are
requirements for a second year visa:
 Work in one of the “specified industries” including agriculture, horticulture, construction
and mining.
 Work in a regional area, including a country part of NSW or Victoria, or in a state such as
South Australia.
 Complete the required number of work days, which can be completed in one of two ways:
o By working 88 separate days (for as many employers as you like); OR
o Working three consecutive months for one employer.
